James G. Orie serves as Chief Legal Officer for F.N.B. Corporation where he manages all corporate legal matters.

Orie previously worked for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Atlanta, GA from 1984 - 1989. He relocated to the Pittsburgh area where he served as Chief Counsel for the Office of Thrift Supervision. He later worked for a Pittsburgh based law firm before joining First National Bank’s Legal Department in 1996.

Orie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA. He earned his Jurist Doctorate from Duquesne Law School, Pittsburgh, PA.

Orie currently serves as Director of the American Corporate Counsel Society, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association and the American Bankers Association.
